Glass artist, maker and teacher, KT Yun has been passionate about glass since the age of seventeen. She is Co-founder of The Glass Hub, a school for glassmaking and she designed and developed a portable glass furnace, the ‘Minimelt’, enabling small-scale and cost-effective glassblowing. Over four decades, KT has worked in hot glass, creating functional ware and sculpture, performing and demonstrating at events, for film and television. She has travelled and worked in glass studios, and with prominent glassmakers, all over the world.
In 2024 KT was awarded the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust. This incredible award has allowed KT to pursue her other passion – entomology, the study of insects. She has used the fund to explore new glass techniques and refine her skills so that she can create insects in glass.
