KT Yun is a contemporary sculptor, hot glass artist and educator with more than three decades of professional experience in glassmaking. Alongside her independent artistic practice, she has extensive experience in glassblowing education, studio management, mentoring, demonstrations and public engagement. As Co-Founder and Co-Director of The Glass Hub, she has delivered specialist training and masterclasses for beginners through to professional artists, as well as collaborative projects and programmes for cultural, educational and commercial organisations.

CURRENT PRACTICE

KT Yun’s current practice focuses on enlarged glass sculptures of specific insect species, combining her technical knowledge of hot glass with a longstanding interest in entomology. Through magnified glass forms, she explores the beauty, resilience and fragility of insects and the threatened habitats they depend upon within the UK.
